The intriguing Detective Pikachu could well be an episodic series. The game is roughly five hours long and when players reach the end of the game (spoiler ahead) Mewtwo pops up and a ‘To Be Continued’ message is displayed to the user. It is only an eShop title, but the hint that it is episodic is backed up by Detective Pikachu’s subtitle which is ‘birth’ of the deductive adventure. Let’s hope he embarks on many more crime solving adventures!

    Tony
    By Tony,

So Nintendo (at the briefing) just said no change in plans for the smartphone app roll out. Says they "are looking" at VR - with no details.

Video game industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto is reporting that Nintendo mentioned Virtual Reality during today’s investors briefing. However, the company simply stated that it is something they are looking at. This doesn’t mean that they are busy creating their own Virtual Reality product, but they are watching the market.

That’s according to games industry analyst Serkan Toto, who reported that the prospect of virtual reality was noted during Nintendo’s recent investor briefing, with the platform holder simply acknowledging that it was ‘looking’ at the sector.
