  3. GAMEPAD ENABLED, WUP INSTALLER READY LA-MULANA is an “Archaeological Ruin Exploration Action Game,” bringing the classic appeal of adventure with the punishing difficulty of retro-inspired gaming. Search inside ancient ruins, seeking out the “Secret Treasure of Life” – which sleeps in the sprawling ruins of “LA-MULANA” and is said to be the beginning of all civilization. Unfortunately, priceless artifacts very rarely give themselves up easily. This game right here is one of my favorites. Take Spelunky but remove the randomized level layouts and the rogue-lite 'die; then restart from the beginning' gameplay, and infuse it with some old-school Legend of Zelda 2 side-scrolling exploration elements. Just understand that the game will not hold your hand, ever. It is downright mean, with plenty of deadly traps(one that even enables hard mode), brutal boss fights and hidden power-ups to find.
